# Dachshund Wheelchairs

Dachshunds have one of the highest rates of hind leg mobility loss of any breed — and one of the most specific sets of physical requirements for a wheelchair to actually fit. Their bodies are typically twice as long as they are tall, their legs stand just 4–9 inches from the ground, and their chest is deep and barrel-shaped. A standard small dog wheelchair doesn't account for any of this.

The wheelchairs in this collection are designed specifically around dachshund anatomy — lower frames, longer geometry, and harness positioning calibrated for their proportions. They fit Miniature, Standard, and Kaninchen dachshunds, and are suitable for dogs with partial hind leg weakness through to complete hind leg paralysis.

Each wheelchair is fully adjustable without tools, includes an open rear design for bathroom use, and can be upgraded from rear support to full quad support using the front leg attachment — no need to replace the frame if your dog's needs change.
